When it comes to outdoor fun and adventure, Maryville boasts some of the best playgrounds and parks that will keep kids entertained for hours. From swings and slides to climbing walls and water features, our parks and playgrounds keep my kids active, provide great opportunities to meet old friends and make new ones, and best of all, they're FREE!

I often get asked about our favorite playgrounds, so I thought I'd share my family's top five playgrounds and parks in and around Maryville with you.


 

Lenoir City Park

What we love about The Lenoir City Park:
This is one of our very favorite places to go, because there is SO MUCH TO DO! Of course the kids love it, but the adults have just as much fun here with all the amenities! Not to mention it sits right on the banks of Fort Loudon Lake and is absolutely stunning!

Friendsville New Generation Park

What we love about New Generation: 

The New Generation Park in Friendsville is one of the coolest new(er) parks around town! My 4 year old LOVES ”his” house and always comes to visit me at “mine”! They even brought back my favorite park equipment as a kid- the merry-go-round! But DONT WORRY- they make them much safer these days!

  • Shaded area with picnic tables 
  • Handicap Swings
  • Mommy and Me baby swings
  • Merry-Go-Round
  • Playhouses 
  • Great for little and BIG kids


Sandy Springs Park

What we love about Sandy Springs:

Sandy Springs is so easily accessible from ANYWHERE in Maryville! We love that there is plenty of shade for my tiny guy and 3 playgrounds to choose from - each for a different age range!

  • Picnic shelter with restroom facilities
  • Handicap accessible
  • Grill
  • Basketball courts(WITH LIGHTS!!)
  • Baseball/ Softball field(WITH LIGHTS!)
  • Tennis courts (WITH LIGHTS!!)

Springbrook Park & Alcoa Duck Pond

What we love about Springbrook:

We just discovered the beauty of Springbrook Park! And WOW! It is kind of AMAZING! There is truly something here for everyone! From walking to swimming to fishing- it’s one of the ELITE parks! Don‘t believe me?! Just check out these amenities…

  • 4 Pavilions with grills
  • 14 other picnic tables throughout park
  • Tennis court(WITH LIGHTS!!)
  • Softball field(WITH LIGHTS!!)

Loudon Municipal Park

What we love about  Loudon Municipal Park:
This is also a new find for us!  Since we live in Maryville, Loudon seems so far! But I am so happy to be exploring more of our area! And really- it’s not far at all, we were just stuck in a bubble! We had so much fun exploring the trails and Playing by the water that we didn’t have time to get a round of disc golf in-but There’s always next time!

  • 4 field baseball complex (WITH LIGHTS!!)
  • 18 Hole disc golf course
  • Soccer Field
