Need to cool off on a hot day?! Here's where to go!

Looking for the perfect spot around Maryville to help your kids beat the heat? Once I started scouting, I realize that we are SURROUNDED by water to cool off in on these BRUTAL SUMMER DAYS! Check out our list of pools, splash pads, creeks, and lakes around Maryville and the surrounding area!

We advise always checking with the venue when possible before heading out, as hours and availability can change due to various factors, ranging from weather to staffing issues.

Public pools 

Springbrook Pool

  • Address: 636 Vose rd Alcoa, Tn 37701
  • Admission:
  •      Students 3-18: $4 daily/$75 season
  •      Adults 19 & up: $5 daily/ $85 season
  •      Sr Adults: $55+: $4 daily/ $60 season

Beaches in Maryville

Melton Hill Dam Swimming Area

  • Location: 201 Campground Rd Lenoir City, Tn 37771
  • Details: the beach area is for public use along with a boat ramp, picnic tables and benches! There are 2 pavilions available for reservations! 
  • Admission: FREE
  • Hours: sunrise to sunset

Tellico Dam Parking Area

  • Location: Lenoir City, 37771
  • Details: small beach next to the boat ramp  with picnic tables and plenty of shade! Bring your 4 legged friends with you to cool off- just keep them on a leash when out of the water
  • Admission: FREE
  • Hours: sunrise to sunset

Creeks and Rivers Where You Can Splash Around Town

The Wye at Townsend

  • Details: grassy hill for blankets and coolers! Dont forget water shoes as it is rocky!! 

Perry’s Mill on US 321

  • Details: PLEASE SWIM WITH CAUTION! The falls on the far side of the dam can be very dangerous! However, The pool at the bottom is one of our favorite places to relax on our tubes or float downriver to catch some “crawdaddies”!
