Adult Education

By Dana Dudley July 25, 2024

Are you thinking of going back to school as an adult? As scary as that may seem, YOU GOT THIS! There are plenty of resources to help turn your life around, pivot or just further your education! When making the life changing decision consider these things before choosing what is best for you!

-Why? Why do you want to go back?

     - Find a program that piques your interest!

     - Build a support system!! Daycare and work cover, study buddies, counselors and friends to back you are all important roles as you begin this new chapter!

      - Plan for tuition! FAFSA, grants, and scholarships are available to help ease the tension with money! There is also a Lifetime Learning Credit you can apply for when filing taxes, which COULD cover up to $2000 on higher Ed courses!

      - Choose a school that not only has your curriculum, but also fits into your daily life! Flexible schedules are almost necessary in higher education when there is family or a job to keep in mind!

      - APPLY!!! Even if you’re unsure, just APPLY! You never know what you are truly capable of until you try! But, I will say- investing in yourself now is investing in your future!
